Acupuncture

What is Acupuncture?

Traditional acupuncture is a complex system of medicine developed in the far east more than 2,500 years ago

It uses fine sterile needles and in some cases electrical stimulation of these to stimulate your energy and natural healing processes.

Acupuncture is now used and often recommended by many General Practitioners

Treatment

A 45 minute assessment will involve taking a full medical history, looking at your tongue, assessing your pulses and testing your main senses. A treatment plan will then be designed to suit your specific needs.

The precise number of treatments required depends on the individual but often 6 to 8 treatments can be enough to start to restore health and fitness

Our Acupuncturist Simon Cheung Msc Mb ACA has 24 years of experience and is highly regarded in his field

Many of our physiotherapists also offer western style acupuncture as an adjunct to their physiotherapy treatment
