Simon trained as a microbiologist and Virologist at Liverpool University before working as a research assistant with the medical research team at the Richard Dimbleby Cancer Research Department at St. Thomas's Hospital Medical School. He went on to gain his Master of Science degree in Radiotherapy & Cancer research in 1981.
He began his studies in Acupuncture in 1982 at the British College of Acupuncture. After his qualification to practice in Acupuncture, he went on to the People's Republic of China to start his training as a Chinese medical doctor at the Traditional Medical School in Nanjing. In 1987 he returned to England to set up his practice in London and has been frequently invited to give regular lectures at the British College of Acupuncture as well as supervising at their teaching clinic in Russell Square.
He uses acupuncture to treat general dysfunction of the body & stress related disorders. He has a keen interest in the treatment of sports injuries, and further specialisation in the treatment of infertility, seasonal allergies, skin diseases and asthmatic conditions
He is a keen tennis player, runner, cyclist, skier and golfer.
